MIDSUMMER GARDEN BIRTHDAY

The brief :

Garden supper for a special birthday.

Table Styling :

For this lockdown birthday celebration we wanted to create a magical dreamlike setting to transport guests to a fantasy land. Inspired by Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer nights dream', we recreated a twinkling garden backdrop with fairy lights and a pathway of candle-filled lanterns. Flowers were wild and dramatic with tall agapanthus, queen anne's lace, beautifully scented white sweet peas and dark green Swedish white beam leaves. We gave the tables a Venetian twist with gold rimmed plates, vintage cutlery, an embroidered white tablecloth and vintage linen napkins. Candlelight was in the form of our spiral beeswax taper candles in vintage brass candle holders.
